Juan José Campanella is an Argentine film and television director with international prestige. He is also a well renowned writer, producer and editor. He developed his film career in the United States, working as a director on television series such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, House, 30 Rock, Halt and Catch Fire, and Colony.
Back in Argentina he already had made several films that won him numerous awards, including “El Mismo Amor, La Misma Lluvia” (1999), “El Hijo de la Novia” (2001), “Luna de Avellaneda” (2004) , and ”El Secreto de Sus Ojos” (2009), winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film in 2010 and “Metegol” (2013).
Among other works in television, he directed, produced and wrote the mini series “Vientos de Agua” (2006), which won 5 Martin Fierro awards (the Argentine Emmys), and in 2012 returned to the small screen with another mini series called “El Hombre de tu Vida”, followed by “Entre Caníbales” in 2015.
In 2013 he made his debut in stage direction with “Parque Lezama”, fulfilling one of his long life dreams, which continues its success in Argentina.
