Cracking the Code: Hacking Diversity in Entertainment and Tech • Presented by Hispanic Heritage Foundation
Presented by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, this panel will explore the intersection of tech and entertainment by way of hacking and creation. This convergence will be key as media expands to different platforms and avenues. Attendees will be informed on how they can create and broaden their network through these exciting and opportune times in tech.

How do you package and deliver your project? Working with the studios and the legal ramifications. Don’t miss an opportunity to sign the deal of your life because of an unforeseen legal issue. These are the conversations you should have with your producer before you deliver your film. This intimate workshop will give content creators the tools and know how to legally protect your film.

NALIP Pitch Sessions Day 2 • Presented by mitú
The NALIP Pitch Sessions will give creators the opportunity to pitch their project to representatives of Mitu Network and receive immediate feedback on June 24 and 25 during the 2016 NALIP Media Summit!
Creators must RSVP, sign and turn in a RELEASE FORM to participate. A summit pass is not required but highly encouraged in order to utilize all opportunities available to creators. Creators must provide their own media, AV equipment and any other material needed to pitch. RSVP does not guarantee participation, due to the limited time frame, first-come-first serve basis will be applied during the event.
*Only Pass holders will be allowed to participate in other elements of the 2016 NALIP Media Summit.*

Saturday Keynote Luncheon and “One Day At A Time” Live Read with Rita Moreno, Justina Machado and Gloria Calderon • Presented by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Netflix
“Conversation with the Cast and Creators of the new One Day At A Time”, a reimagining of the classic Norman Lear comedy. The show, written by Executive Producers Mike Royce and Gloria Calderon, revolves around a Cuban-American family, centering on a recently separated former military mom who is navigating a new single life while raising her strong willed teenaged daughter and socially adept tween son with the ‘help’ of her old school, Cuban-born mom. The series stars Justina Machado, Isabella Gomez, Marcel Ruiz and 2012 NALIP Lifetime Achievement honoree, Rita Moreno. The series is produced for Netflix by Act lll Productions, Snowpants Productions and Small Fish Studios in association with Sony Pictures Television.
The Keynote Luncheon will include an exclusive sneak peak of the show and live reading of a scene between the cast!

The conversation will feature three powerhouse directors: Juan José Campanella, director of the 2010 Academy Award winner for Best Foreign Film "El Secreto de Sus Ojos/The Secret in Their Eyes", Jonathan Jakubowicz, director of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival Official Selection film "Hands of Stone", and Patricia Riggen, director of domestic and international box office hits like, “Under the Same Moon", “The 33" and "Miracles from Heaven".
