Ben Odell is partner of 3Pas Studios with Mexican comedian and filmmaker Eugenio Derbez. 3Pas has first-look deals with Pantelion Films, the joint venture between Lionsgate and Televisa, and Universal Television.
Odell was previously Head of Production for Pantelion, overseeing development and production onSpare Parts, starring George Lopez, Jamie Lee Curtis and Marisa Tomei, and the comedy, Girl in Progress, starring Eva Mendes and Patricia Arquette.
Prior to this, Odell produced such movies as Sebastian Borensztein’s Un Cuento Chino and the thriller,Sangre de mi Sangre, which won the grand jury prize at Sundance (2007).
Odell first worked as a journalist before becoming a Spanish-language television and film writer, creating over 300 hours of Spanish-language television including, Fuego Verde, and co-writing the Colombian political satire film, Golpe de Estadio, which was nominated for Spain's Goya Award in 1999, and was Colombia's nomination to the Oscar in 2000.
