William D. Caballero is a NYC/NJbased filmmaker, producer, composer, video artist, and multimedia storyteller. Caballero obtained the Bill Gates Millennium Scholarship and graduated from Pratt Institute (BFA Digital Art) and New York University (MA The Arts and Humanities in Education). His work has premiered at over 50 film festivals, featured as a Vimeo Staff Pick, highlighted on Upworthy, and featured on HBO, BET, and PBS.
His short film, HOW YOU DOIN,’ BOY? VOICEMAILS FROM GRAN’PA, a comedic short film featuring 3D modeled/printed miniatures of his grandfather, debuted on NUVOtv 2014. The project, partially funded by the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture was turned into a webseries called GRAN’PA KNOWS BEST. The show debuted on HBO Latino in September 2015.
Currently, Caballero is working with Univision, as director and creator of THE DESTINY OF DREAMERS’, a webseries featuring stories of the Dreamers movement.
